I have been tinkering about with pc's for a while but have a problem.
Having ordered sims 3 for my son for christmas, I knew I would need to upgraade graphics card so here's my question.To run the game I need a geforce fx 5900 or above/ati radeon 9500
I have in my house a Geforce 6600 GT DDR3 128MB AGP that i could put in my pc but not sure I can.My pc is a DELL Optiplex GX260 (the middle sized one). I'm thinking to get this in that i would at the least need to increase the PSU size (think it's a 250w and read somewhere that this card needs min 350w)So, is it safe to increase PSU watt size?Is there anything else I would need to do?Quite confused.PC spec;XP pro Intel R Pentium R 4 CPU 2.53ghz Current graphics: Intel R824845G graphics controller (64mb) 1.5 Ram - can upgrade to 2gb
Buying anotehr pc really isn't an option as we just got given this one but any help you can give me would be appreciated.
