The dell GX270 is a bag that is full of features, the computer uses an Intel processor that gives the computer 800MHz speed, the computer uses Intel 865G chipset for the processor. Dell also took care of the gaming capabilities of the computer, so excellent gaming the desktop has a 8xAGP graphics that uses Intel’s own graphics technology, this was an overkill for the competitors in the computing market of the time. GX270 supports 400MHz RAM capabilities which works with a 2.6GHz P4 processor developed by Intel. GX270 supports 512MB of RAM and special 64MB dedicated for graphics enhancement, which is been used by the 8xAGP graphics card in the computer. The 865G chipset in the computer is much faster than the Intel’s 875, this provides lesser system latency. The 865G is a little costlier than its Intel 875 brother. The increase in the cost of the chipset provides a future technology that will prevail for a longer duration then the Intel’s 875. The 865 also increases the performance of the desktop as it has a Gigabit networking tech as an extra ATA drive facility which increases the overall flexibility and performance of the GX270.
